Description
Meet Joanne!Joanne came to us in a large intake of undersocialized chinchillas. They have been making slow progress here in the shelter but we are hopeful in a quiet home that they will start showing their more playful and social personalities.Chinchillas can live 20+ years so they are a big commitment and a long-term pet. Another special need of chinchillas is regular dust baths (using specially formulated products) for their fur and air conditioning in the summer is a must to prevent them from overheating with their dense fur! Aside from these special needs, chinchillas require care common of rodents such as daily out-of-cage time, enrichment, safe chew toys, and socialization.Joanne has been examined by our vet team and is medically cleared for adoption. We would require a picture of the enclosure you plan to house them in before adoption. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM â 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM â 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays. For information about our adoption process click here
