Hi, I’m Dixie! I’m a 1½-year-old Newfoundland and Black Lab mix, and all 76 pounds of me are convinced I’m a lap dog. I’m a big, goofy, affectionate girl who’s happy to flop down on the floor for playtime or belly rubs. I’m housebroken and have excellent recall. I know my basic commands, walk nicely on a leash, ride well in the car, and do great with kids!On walks, I’d happily stop to say hello to every person and dog I meet. I take my time greeting other dogs, and once we’re acquainted, I’m ready to play, even if my new buddy weighs just 20 pounds!I’ve done well with cats, too. At a sleepover with lots of cats, I tried to get them to play. Whenever my host called my name, I immediately stopped what I was doing and lay right down.I’m spayed, microchipped, up to date on my vaccinations, and heartworm-negative. I can’t wait to find a family of my own. Come meet me soon!
