Report from a volunteer:Cupcake is quite possibly the easiest dog I've ever day-tripped! He patiently let me fit his harness and put all his gear on.We calming walked to the car. He hopped right in without any prompting or coaxing. We drove quietly to Dutch Bros. while he poked his head out the window. Cupcake took a “down” position on his own while I ordered at the window. He was very attentive to me and everything I asked him to do. He thoroughly enjoyed his pup cup. Our next stop was Pet Supply Plus to let him sniff and enjoy the AC and cold ground. He walked loose leash most of the time, checking in often.He was unreactive to two different dogs though neither were close or reacted to Cupcake. I redirected his attention back onto me by saying his name. He snuck a treat from a display and ate it while laying down in an aisle. I reached to give him head pets and he showed no reaction or signs of discomfort. He met three adults who happily gave him a treat, praised his calm demeanor, and complimented his gorgeous coat. Cupcake was an excellent shopping buddy. When I stopped to talk to people in the store he laid down and relaxed unprompted.
