TUMERIC*

Description

Meet Tumeric, the orange tabby and white female cat. Tumeric came to the Shelter with experience living outdoors but has been interested in socializing with people. The catch is - she prefers it on her terms. “Pet me here, not there. Pet me only so many times. I rub against you but you don’t touch me.” Cat-savvy adopters would be key to these kitty’s success – someone who can read their body language and act accordingly. Tumeric would thrive as an indoor kitty with a cat savvy adopter. She may enjoy a feline companion with a slow, thoughtful introduction. She may also enjoy being a social garden kitty - someone to keep you company and provide some rodent control outside. She should have a safe, secure place to hide and rest indoors. If you're looking for a little spice in your life - come to the Shelter and ask more about Tumeric and our adoption process. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
