Salem

Description

Salem – Black Female | 4 Years Old | 70 lbs. Looking for a dog who will be your constant companion, personal assistant, cuddle buddy, and shadow? Meet Salem! Salem takes her job as Lab Assistant very seriously. Whatever you're doing, wherever you're going, she wants to be right in the middle of it. After all, you might need her help! This beautiful 4-year-old black Lab has the sweetest personality and a gorgeous, shiny coat. She's past the puppy stage, knows her manners, and is simply a wonderful dog to have around. Here's what we love about Salem: ✔️ House trained and crate trained ✔️ Walks nicely on a leash ✔️ Knows come, sit, down, and shake ✔️ Has an automatic sit when you stop walking! ✔️ Learning wait and stay ✔️ Quickly learned how to use the dog door ✔️ Sleeps quietly in her crate at night ✔️ Calm and easygoing indoors (about a 4 on the activity scale!) Salem enjoys a little outdoor zoomie time, but once she's inside, she's perfectly happy curling up on the couch with you. And when we say cuddle bug, we mean it! She's affectionate, attentive, and very much a Velcro Lab. Expect a furry companion following you from room to room, keeping tabs on your activities, and making sure you never feel alone. Salem has been getting comfortable with the resident dog in her foster home, although she seems to prefer having her own space. She has occasionally tried claiming his crate and favorite resting spots, so we think she may be just fine as the only dog, or for a dog with similar energy level. The foster has no cats so we do not know how she would be with felines. It's only been a few days, but her foster family is already completely smitten with her! What Salem wants is pretty simple: A family who will include her in their daily lives, spend time with her, take her along on adventures, and make room for a very devoted companion. No puppy antics, no complicated demands. Just a sweet, well-mannered Lab who wants to be wherever you are. Salem is ready to be someone's everything. Could that someone be you? If you think this sweet girl might be the companion you've been looking for, please visit www.LabRescueFresno.org and submit an adoption application. Remember, adoption is not first-come, first-served. Our goal is to find the best possible match for each dog, and Salem's foster family will help choose the family that's right for her. Give Salem a home, a couch, and someone to follow around for the rest of her life. She promises to be the best Lab Assistant you've ever had!
