Description

***THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY*** **WAG ON INN HAS NO FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ANIMAL'S REACTIONS AND CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BEHAVIORAL OR MEDICAL ISSUES** Kira is a beautiful red and white Siberian Husky.  She is a happy bundle of energy.  Kira loves people and children but needs a home without little ones, because she has shown that she will guard her favorite toys and treats.  She is friendly and excited to meet all people and dogs, and she also knows many commands including sit down, paw, stay, and come.  Kira loves her yard and she loves to play catch.  She pulls  on leash so can use some work with that…she also has a prey drive for small wildlife.  She is affectionate and calm after she has had some exercise and/or enrichment.  She is crate trained but not happy about being alone for too long.  She can also be an escape artist- so a secure fence is a must.  She is good in the car and for baths, but a little nervous at the vet- though does not need to be muzzled.  Kira needs an active lifestyle with no small children.  She would likely do well with another dog that matches her energy.  This sweet husky is in NJ ready to meet her new family!    Note: Kira is coming to us through our owner surrender program. They will remain under the care of their owner until they are officially transferred to Wag On Inn to an approved foster or adopter. Kira is spayed, micro-chipped, and will be brought up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
