Tommy

Description

***Tommy is scheduled to be transported to New Jersey on Nov 12 and be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply over the Nov. 1-15 weekend. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Tommy and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.*** Tommy was recently found as a stray in our county. Attempts to locate his possible owner yielded no positive results and the local animal control offered no help, only telling the woman that found him to "do as she wished" with him. We were more than happy to accept Tommy into our rescue. Tommy appears to still be young, between 1-1 1/2 years old and already weighs about 60 lbs. He's energetic, playful and very, very friendly towards people and other dogs. His ideal home would be one that allows for plenty of time and space to run and exercise. He does walk very well on a leash, but needs additional training to learn not to jump up onto people.  Tommy has been given an update on al of his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventatives. He's also been neutered and received a heartworm test, which came back negative. He may require additional house training once in  new home. Tommy has also been microchipped.
