Denim - Ready to Work!

Description

Meet Denim - Curious, clever, and ready to supervise your every move!! Denim is a curious girl who believes absolutely everything you do deserves an explanation! Whether you're tackling chores, making dinner, or just going about your day, she'd like to be right there observing, asking questions, and making sure she understands the plan. She may even pretend to take notes, although she'll probably ask you all the same questions again tomorrow! This smart girl is already learning her manners. She's been taught to sit and wait for permission before eating, and she knows commands like “sit,” “move,” “yes,” and “no.” She's food motivated, eager to please, and has all the makings of a wonderful student. Of course, she's still a puppy, so she'll need continued guidance, patience, and consistency as she learns the ropes. Denim is a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix, currently around 20–25 pounds and expected to grow to approximately 50–60 pounds. She's playful, gentle, intelligent, and enjoys toys. She has a moderate energy level and would love a home ready to include her in everyday adventures, playtime, and plenty of learning opportunities. She's friendly with new people, gets along with other dogs and children, and could make a lovely addition to a family. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Denim is not yet housetrained, so her new family should be prepared for all the usual puppy training, including housebreaking. Denim is currently with one of our partner rescues in Mississippi, waiting for a foster or adopter to step up and help bring her to New Jersey. If you're looking for a sweet, clever companion who will keep you company and make sure no household activity goes unexplained, Denim may be your girl! Denim is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Denim has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $600.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
