Description

James (affectionately called Jimmy) is a 5-month-old handsome little gentleman with a soft heart and an adventurous spirit, who is looking for his forever home!Jimmy is a loving, sweet, gentle and cuddly lap boy who may take a moment to warmup to new people, but once he realizes he's safe, his personality quickly emerges. Before long, he'll be making himself comfortable on your lap, happily soaking up scratches and pets while purring away. This handsome guy also has a curious side and loves exploring his surroundings. James firmly believes that any open door is an invitation to investigate, whether it's a closet, cabinet, or pantry. If there's something new to discover, he'll be the first one checking it out. He also enjoys birdwatching and keeping tabs on the neighborhood from the nearest sunny window. He is incredibly social with other cats and seems to think everyone should be his friend. He absolutely adores receiving groomies from his favorite feline "uncles," and when they're less enthusiastic about the arrangement, he's persistent enough to convince them otherwise. Sometimes he'll even return the favor with a few groomies of his own.Despite his rakish good looks, James is a humble guy... or at least most of the time. With his impossibly soft fur and handsome face, he seems fully aware of his charm and isn't afraid to use it to win over everyone he meets. This curious dude has a wonderful balance of playful kitten energy and laid-back companionship. He enjoys exploring, climbing, and investigating anything that catches his attention, but he's equally content spending time with his humans, supervising daily activities from nearby, or curling up for a nap. When the wand or spring toys come out, though, his inner hunter takes over. He loves to chase, leap, and pounce, putting his hunting skills on full display. After playtime, he'll happily seek out a cozy spot for a nap or some snuggle time with his human or a feline pal.James currently lives with his foster mom, two foster kittens (age 6 months), and three resident cats (age 1, 1.5, and 7 years) in a single‐family home with lots of windows and space to explore. He gets along wonderfully with both his foster siblings and his three feline "uncles," and has never met a friendly cat he didn't want to be besties with.He would thrive in a home with plenty of opportunities for exploration, sunny windows for wildlife watching, and people who will appreciate his affectionate nature. Because he enjoys the company of other cats so much, James would do best in a home with at least one other friendly feline companion. He would especially love to be adopted with one of his foster friends, Zinnia or Dahlia. He should also do well with respectful children who understand kitten boundaries. (His experience with dogs is unknown.)With just a little patience while he settles into a new environment, James blossoms into a loving, loyal companion. Between his gentle personality, playful curiosity, soft little squeaks, and endless desire to make friends, he has a way of winning hearts wherever he goes. If you're looking for a kitten who is equal parts cuddle buddy, explorer, and feline social butterfly, James may be your perfect match. For more photos and videos, feel free to visit James' foster mom's Instagram page, @tempurrary_insanity.There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
