Description
Meet Davis – A Happy Heart and a Pocketful of Treats!❤️ Davis and his litter-mates are currently with our partner rescue in Mississippi and awaiting a foster or adopter to bring them to NJ to find their furever family! Davis has a simple philosophy: life is better with a friend, a few good treats, and someone to share the fun with! This handsome black-and-white boy is a happy, easygoing pup who loves people and is always ready to make a new friend. And if you happen to have a treat in your pocket? Well, you're already off to a great start! Davis is affectionate, gentle, playful, and a little goofy. He enjoys toys, loves being around people, and has an eager-to-please personality. He's also wonderfully food motivated, which should make teaching him new skills and working on his manners a rewarding experience. Smart boy that he is, he'll likely be very happy to learn when there's a tasty incentive involved! Currently weighing around 20–25 pounds, Davis is expected to grow into a medium-to-large companion of approximately 50–60 pounds. He has a moderate energy level and would enjoy a nice balance of playtime, exercise, and relaxing with his family. He's friendly with adults, good with children and other dogs, and could fit into many different family dynamics. His compatibility with cats is unknown. Davis isn't house-trained yet, so his new family will need to help him learn the routine with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He may also have an occasional opinion to share, as he does enjoy using his voice now and then! If you're looking for a cheerful, affectionate companion who will greet each day with enthusiasm and never turn down a friendship—or a snack—Davis is your boy. He's ready to find his forever family and start making memories, one treat at a time! Davis is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Davis has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $600. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
