Description
Bambi was rescued from a yard in Brooklyn as a kitten. She was missing fur, underweight, but was still a feisty survivor. She was named Bambi due to her clumsy gait, like that of a fawn. Her vet says she has a slight case of cerebellar hypoplasia but she's 100% healthy and it doesn't affect her. Since experiencing the good life, she shows no signs of fear of the vacuum or car rides, though she hates the dishwasher for some reason. She is high-energy and (if she's awake) always looking for something or someone to play with and would love another cat, possibly a dog, or even children. She loves to lay in a sunny windowsill. She will shower you with kitty kisses and wants to sleep next to you. She also gets "happy tail" when excited and her tail twitches. Her favorite treat is churu and does expect treat time every night. She uses her litter box with no issues and mainly grazes with dry food but will eat small amounts of wet food for dinner. Overall, an easy and funny girl who will love you and offer endless entertainment. This cat has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. Affectionately known as a Wobbly Cat, this disorder is not progressive or contagious, and doesn’t cause any serious health problems – she just has a distinctive, quirky (and honestly very cute) way of walking around. She sometimes trips over her own feet, but she gets right back up and keeps going! The Internet loves wobbly cats, so she has real viral video potential -- and we have lots of resources to help you get her setup successfully. This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat (in a very active home able to give her stimulation).
