Description

Adopt Delaney! She is a very sweet Great Pyrenees with a tragic backstory. We believe she is around 2 yrs old, and is currently underweight at 65lbs, we are working on getting some weight on her.  Delaney was found stuck in a dumpster where she couldn't get out, we believe she went in looking for food. Her female Pyrenees companion (Lilly, also available for adoption with SPIN Rescue) was waiting outside the dumpster staying by Delaneys side. They were both covered in fleas and had clearly spent a lot of time on the streets together.  Despite her history, Delaney is a happy affectionate dog that loves people, sometimes more than food! She is great with kids too. She lovings giving and getting love. She greets strangers with enthusiasm.  She takes treats gently and knows how to 'Sit'.  She is good with dogs of all sizes and even cats.  Sometimes Delaney needs some encouragement to come inside, but once you give her a little sweet talking she comes in with a tail wag and smile. When she gets overwhelmed she finds a little corner to tuck into but won't stay there for long.  She is great on a leash, does well with new people, kids and dogs she meets while out. She did really well at a brewery for our adoption event. Delaney needs a little encouragement to load up into a car but then rides well, after realizing you don't need her help driving.  She is house trained and has a medium energy level.  Delaney is spayed. Her adoption fee is $250. She is currently in a foster home in Dallas / Ft Worth area of Texas.
