General info
Description
When Oliver was only three days old, he was found alone on the side of a road beneath a bush. His fighting spirit helped get him through those first few critical weeks, and now he is a thriving four-month-old boy who loves life! Oliver is the sweetest, most affectionate kitten with a big heart, just like the one on his foot:) Oliver has been raised around cats and dogs and would do best in an active family with other friendly canine and feline friends. He's very adaptable and affectionate, but is not a fan of being left alone! Oliver is ready to find his forever home and will bring years of love and joy to his new family. NOTE: Oliver is currently positive for FIV; however, this is most often caused by a false positive due to maternal antibodies. If transient, most young cats will test negative by 5 months of age. Oliver's last test was a very faint positive, so there is a good chance he will grow out of it. In some rare cases, there are persistent positives. Most cats persistently infected with this virus live long, healthy lives. In very rare and extreme cases, it can progress, and these cats can become sick. This virus is not contagious to humans or other animals and is only spread to other cats through deep bite wounds (drawing and ingesting blood). Casual contact such as sharing food and water bowls, grooming, or peacefully living together is considered a very low-risk method of transmission.
