Description
Meet Ernest . Some cats spend their whole lives waiting for a family. Ernest thought he had already found his. More than 8 years ago, when he was 6-8 years old, Ernest left Forgotten Cats for what everyone believed would be his forever home. For almost a decade, he knew the comfort of a warm bed, a favorite spot on the couch, familiar voices, and the quiet routine of being loved. Then, one day... everything changed, and Ernest was returned to us. He doesn't understand why. He doesn't understand why the couch he loved is gone, why his favorite human isn't coming back, or why he's now sleeping in a kennel instead of curled up beside someone he trusted. Every day he waits, looking at the door with those soulful green eyes, hoping this is all a mistake. It's heartbreaking to watch. Senior cats don't ask for much. They aren't looking for excitement or adventure. They simply want a soft place to nap, gentle hands to pet them, and someone to love for the rest of their days. Ernest has already given almost a decade of his heart to one family. Now he's hoping someone will give him the one thing he's never truly had—a forever that really means forever. Could it be YOU? Ernest is FIV+. Please check out the quick facts sheet. Update! Yay! Ernest is acclimating with his new foster family and foster feline friend Brenton (FCID# 04/28/2025 - 32). A new bio will be posted soon. Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/. (Foster: Deb F.)
