Hanko (A143956) is a 4-year-old Chow mix who weighed 56.1 pounds on intake! 10/27/26 This is Miss Hanko! Hanko was surrendered to the shelter and is looking for her new place to call home! She was said to be kennel-trained and housebroken! She also seems to know the command sit! Hanko was noted to have a shy side, but we have found that she warms up with positive reassurance and plenty of treats! She does have a few naughty quirks like getting into the trash and jumping on counters. She was also said to be a bit of a runner and will jump a fence. She should always be on a leash, on a secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. We do not know her experience level with children or other animals. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new people and animals. However, we do know she lived with other dogs. Haniko also had a pretty bad ear infection when she got to the shelter. She was seen and had it treated by the shelter vet. It is a good idea for her next owner to monitor her ears.
