Meow meet Max! With his bright, wide-eyed expression, Max always looks like he’s waiting for something wonderful to happen. This handsome adult black boy has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Sadly, Max recently lost the people he loved when his owners passed away. The life he knew, the familiar voices, and the people he counted on were suddenly gone. Now he’s trying to find his way through a loss he can’t possibly understand. Despite his heartbreak, Max hasn’t lost his love for people. He’s incredibly outgoing, friendly, and has a wonderfully dog-like personality. He’s loyal, loving, and never shy about speaking up when he wants attention. He wants to be where his people are and part of whatever is happening. He would do well with children who are old enough to respect his boundaries and would make a wonderful companion for a senior. Max would be happiest as an only pet, unless adopted together with his friend Charlie. Max has already experienced the heartbreak of loosing the people he thought he’d have forever. It’s hard to imagine what it must feel like to go from having a family to waiting in a rescue for someone to choose you again. He deserves more than another temporary stop. He deserves a person whose face becomes familiar, whose voice he can call out to, and whose love he never has to question. Max is waiting for someone to look at him and not just see a beautiful black cat, but a loyal little heart waiting for somewhere to belong again!
