Description

This dog is joining our rescue after being confiscated during a warrant execution as part of the cruelty case investigation involving the Pittie Project PNW. They have been in temporary protective custody with Whatcom Humane and will soon be released into our care, where they will begin the next chapter of their journey toward safety and a brighter future. Animal Information: Louie a 2-year-old, 30lb herdy breed mix. An Oklahoma native that came to Washington in July of 2025. He initially went into foster care with a trainer to help overcome some of his fears as a hoarding house survivor. Louie spent a few weeks in home working on his basic leash skills and learning to trust people. He can take a minute to warm up to strangers, but is very sweet and eager to engage. Louie would do best in a home with another social, friendly pup to help him continue to learn how to dog. Louie was reportedly house trainer, and does well in his crate. He immediately offered engagement during his assessment on the property, and was very sweet leaning in for attention and affection. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, heartworm test if indicated, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
