General info
Description
OTHER PETS: Arthur's a curious boy who's interested in other dogs and would likely do well with a dog that can read his body language and communicate well. Arthur can be possesive of his toys (resource-guards) however, so toys must be kept seperate in any home he goes to if there's another dog. To be safe, dogs should be fed separately. A meet is a must. [Likely (With proper introduction)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn will be the best fit. Arthur is very interested in people and will enjoy bonding with a new guardian. [Some Experience] KIDS: Due to a tendency to resource-guard toys, Arthur is not a fit for a house with young kids. He will trade-up (providing an item of equal or higher value before removing a toy), but it's important to know when he's ready. [15+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Arthur is playful and full of energy. He loves to play with a variety of toys. Providing a combination of regular exercise combined with mental enrichment such as food puzzles, games, and learning fun tricks will help meet his needs while preventing boredom and having fun. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: Arthur came to us with dental disease so he'll need to get some dental work done with us before he goes. Regular vet visit will help keep Arthur healthy. [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement will help Arther learn new skills and fund tricks while building confidence and creating a strong human-canine bond. Resource-guarding can happen with food, toys, furniture etc, so giving him space and trading-up will help him feel more confident around prized posessions. [Minimal/Ongoing] GROOMING: Regular brushing and grooming are a must so to keep Arthur's fur clean and free of matting. [Routine Brushing / Grooming]
