LEMON NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Lemon         Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix, some other type of retriever likely  Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of April 2026         SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight: 68 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Lemon is Looking For:    Her forever home! She did an amazing job raising her eight babies Lime, Longan, Lupsi, Lulo, Lychee, Lakoocha, Lucuma, and Loquat to be great family pets. They're all off to seek their own humans and now Lemon is seeking her own humans to love and be loved by. She's in her prime as a young adult dog and is eager for long sniffy walks, romps, and all those wonderful adventures. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises loyal companionship for all her days.   What do you say? Does Lemon have a spot in your home and your heart?   What My Foster Says About Me:  Lemon is a playful, affectionate pup who's always ready for her next adventure! She loves people, happily soaks up all the pets she can get, and gets excited to meet other dogs. Lemon enjoys several walks each day, loves to play with her toys, and has fun bursts of energy balanced with plenty of time to relax. She recently visited a dog park for the first time and did great with dogs of all sizes. Lemon sleeps through the night and is comfortable in her crate when it's time for bed or when you're away. She's generally quiet and continuing to improve on leash walks—though squirrels and geese are still hard to ignore! Lemon is ready to bring lots of love, fun, and happy tail wags to her forever family. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
