SKY

Description

Sky (A143931) is a 6-year-old DLH who weighed 19 pounds on intake (but is severely overweight). 10/26/26 This is Sky! Sky was surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away. He was placed on medical evaluation due to severe matting and obesity. It is crucial that he loses weight for his health and comfort. His goal weight is 12 pounds! While he loses weight, he will need help with grooming, including daily brushing and gentle cleaning around his anus, with sanitary clipping as needed. He was also previously declawed and due to the extra weight, it seems painful. We encourage the next owner to discuss pain relief with their vet. Sky has used the litterbox while at the shelter. He also came from a home with other cats was said to do well. He was said to be fearful of children and can have a more bashful personality. He is looking for a special person to take him in and help him succeed! If you are interested in meeting Sky, please let us know!
