Oakley (Mom)

Description

Meet Oakley! At 3½ years old, this gorgeous girl has already proven that she’s one heck of a mama. Oakley came all the way from Mississippi, where she gave birth to her eight babies underneath a tree during a heat wave. Imagine bringing eight tiny humans into the world in that kind of heat! This girl deserves a lifetime of air conditioning, cozy beds, and unlimited belly rubs for everything she’s been through. Now it’s Oakley’s turn to be someone’s baby. Oakley is as sweet and loving as they come. She’s eager to please, wants to make her people happy, and would probably sell her soul for a good belly rub. Seriously, if belly rubs were a full-time job, she’d be employee of the month every single month. And can we talk about that coat?! Her beautiful black fur has gorgeous chestnut highlights that shimmer in the sunlight, giving her a little extra sparkle. She’s basically autumn wrapped up in a dog-shaped package. Oakley gets along well with other dogs, kids, and adult cats. Little kittens, however, make her a bit stressed, so she’d prefer a home with adult feline roommates only, please. After raising eight babies in the Mississippi heat, Oakley has earned the right to be spoiled rotten. She’s ready to trade her days of worrying about her puppies for a life filled with love, soft places to nap, family adventures, and all the belly rubs her heart desires.Could you be the happily-ever-after Oakley has been waiting for? She’s spent enough time taking care of everyone else. Now it’s her turn to be loved, cherished, and reminded every single day that she’s finally home. Apply today at Maybelslegacy.org
