Learn more about this event and sign up for 10am Early Entry HERE Age: 5 months Weight: 35 lbs (as of 10/25/26) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Chip! Chip is a sweet playful puppy with a gentle and sensitive nature. He’s the kind of dog that looks to his humans for reassurance especially as he continues to experience many things for the first time. Chip may take a minute to warm up to other dogs and often looks to his humans to make sure everything is ok. Once he feels comfortable, he makes friends and loves to play - he’s quickly blossoming in his RI foster home with playful and welcoming pups. Chip has been around children and done very well. Chip even helped to find a missing kitty for his previous foster mom. Being an Aussie mix, Chip has the smarts to show for it. This young guy knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’ already and is eager to learn new tricks. Foster mom thinks he may even have a future in agility once he settles a bit into forever home life. Chip's ideal adopter would be a confident dog owner that’s able to provide structure and reassurance to young Chip as he continues to explore the world. Continued positive social interactions with dogs and people would greatly help Chip to become a confident dog. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
