Description

Some dogs give their hearts away immediately. Wynnona makes you earn hers just a little—and trust us, she is 10000% worth the effort. Wynnona originally came to OURS after being found wandering the streets as a stray, hungry and painfully thin, alongside an older Chihuahua we named Naomi. Together, they became our very own little Judd duo—Wynnona and Naomi. Sweet Naomi has since passed away, but she will always be a special part of Wynnona’s story and a very loved member of the OURS family. ❤️ Wynnona was always the younger and slightly more outspoken of the pair, and that little personality is still very much intact. When she first meets someone new, she may bark and put on her best “I’m really not sure about you” performance. The problem is, Wynnona is a terrible actress. The little circles around you, curious glances from the sidelines, and that wagging tail give her away every single time. She wants to know you. She just needs to do it on Wynnona time. Once she decides you’re safe, you’ll discover the lovely little dog hiding behind that cautious exterior. Wynnona enjoys playing, loves receiving affection, and has a wonderfully sweet side that makes earning her trust feel incredibly special. Quick Facts ❤️ Sweet, playful, and affectionate once she feels comfortable ️ May bark when meeting new people while she figures them out Curious even when she’s pretending she isn’t Her wagging tail gives away her softer side every time Loves attention once she knows and trusts you Needs a patient family willing to let her build trust at her own pace A true little diamond in the rough Located in Southern California We have such a soft spot for dogs like Wynnona—the ones who ask you to look beyond that first nervous bark and give them the time and space to reveal who they really are. These are our diamonds in the rough, and their souls have a way of shining incredibly bright once they know they are safe. Wynnona has already known hunger, uncertainty, and loss. What we want for her now is something beautifully simple: a safe home, a patient heart, and someone she can finally call her own.
