Major’s story began at the Yountville Veterans Home, where this tiny, wild, 1½-pound warrior decided to take on the maintenance department. It took two electricians and a plumber to finally capture this pint-sized troublemaker! Even then, surrender was clearly not in his vocabulary. What started as a hissing, spitting little firecracker quickly blossomed into a confident, hilarious, and incredibly entertaining kitten who has absolutely no idea how small he really is! Major doesn’t just enter a room. He takes command of it! He believes every sunny spot, cozy bed, delicious snack, and comfortable lap was created specifically for him. The older cats have tried teaching him a little feline etiquette, but Major is convinced that rules are merely suggestions! And don’t even get him started on the family dog. Major has no fear of his much larger canine companion, although he’s still learning that a dog’s tail isn’t necessarily a personal wrestling toy! But beneath all that mischief is a wonderfully affectionate little boy with a heart just as big as his personality. Major LOVES to play, chase laser lights, wrestle with his favorite stuffed raccoon, and investigate absolutely everything. And when his little battery finally runs out, this fearless warrior transforms into a snuggling sweetheart who might curl up in your lap, drape himself over your shoulder, or fall asleep upside down on top of you! Of course, cuddles happen on Major’s terms. After all, royalty has its privileges! Major is still learning his manners, including keeping his excited little love nibbles to himself and respecting the boundaries of other cats. He would thrive with a family that appreciates his bold personality, understands kitten behavior, and is willing to continue guiding him with patience and love.
