This queen of Middle-earth would very much like someone to spoil her rotten.Meet Rivendell, or Riv, as she's affectionately known. She's a breathtakingly beautiful, incredibly sweet young lady who loves her people, appreciates a good petting session, and has absolutely no problem letting you know when she's had enough.At just one or two years old, Riv has already lived quite a life. She grew up on the streets, found her way into foster care, and raised four rambunctious little boys with an incredible amount of love and patience. She's been a wonderful mother, and now that her kittens are ready to find homes of their own, it's finally her turn to be spoiled.Named after the legendary Elven refuge in Middle-earth, Rivendell is ready for a little peace and tranquility of her own. No more adventures, no more battles, and absolutely no more sharing her kingdom. After everything she's accomplished, we think she's more than earned it.Riv is genuinely affectionate and people-loving. She enjoys being near her humans, hanging out while you go about your day, and purring away during a good petting session. She's even perfectly happy being picked up, provided you understand that she's the one who decides when the experience is over.She's affectionate without being a Velcro cat, independent without being distant, and full of the kind of personality that makes a cat truly unforgettable. She has excellent boundaries, as long as things are exactly on her terms. Totally reasonable.And like any respectable ruler of Middle-earth, Riv knows when the audience is over. It's important that her future humans recognize her signals and respect her space. Even the elves of Rivendell understood the importance of a little peace and quiet.Riv needs an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and appreciates a cat with a personality. She must be the only pet in the home, with no other cats, dogs, or children. After raising four boys, she's officially retired from sharing her kingdom, and we fully support her decision.But don't mistake her independence for a lack of affection. Riv is an incredibly loving, friendly, trusting little soul. Despite growing up outdoors, she genuinely adores human companionship. She doesn't need to be the center of attention every moment, but she absolutely wants to be part of your life.She's looking for her very own Last Homely House: a comfortable, peaceful home, someone who appreciates her wonderful quirks, plenty of affection on her terms, and the kind of love and security she deserves.Rivendell has spent the first part of her life surviving and the next raising a family.
