Adoption fee: $700 Meet New Kid on the Block: Your Next Puppy Love! He’s got the right stuff: a sweet personality, an enthusiastic approach to life, and a talent for turning the end of your day into cuddle time. New Kid on the Block is a 12–14 week old Pug mix who came to our rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. Now he’s ready for a fresh start—and a lifetime membership in someone’s family band. Step by Step: A Day with New Kid New Kid believes mornings should begin with a proper celebration. When his foster wakes up, he’s thrilled to see that his favorite person is available for another day of adventures. He follows along into the bathroom, providing supervision while his foster gets ready for work, before enjoying breakfast. His day includes busy bursts of puppy play, toys, and downtime. When his foster is away, he has toys to keep him occupied and settles on the couch or his little bed. He isn’t currently crated and has been comfortable spending time alone, with no separation anxiety reported in his foster home. Dinner arrives around 5 p.m., followed by more opportunities to play and hang out together. But his best performance comes at the end of the day, when this busy little guy turns into a very sweet cuddle companion. Hangin’ Tough—and Snuggling Soft New Kid is full of life, playful, and energetic. He enjoys following his person around the house and being part of whatever is happening. Whether you’re getting ready for the day or settling in for the evening, he’s happy to join the program. His foster’s favorite thing about him is their evening cuddle time. Beneath all that puppy enthusiasm is an affectionate little sweetheart who loves being close. A Puppy with Plenty to Learn New Kid is making progress using potty pads and will need a patient family to help him build reliable bathroom habits. He hasn’t started leash walks yet, so learning about a harness, leash, and the world beyond the house will be part of his next chapter. He’s also entering his teething era, which means he’s experimenting with what his little teeth can do. Appropriate chew toys, gentle redirection, and a puppy-proofed space will help him develop good habits. He may announce visitors or household activity with a bark—apparently, every boy band needs a lead vocalist. Looking for His Forever Fan Club New Kid would love a family ready for playtime, puppy training, and plenty of affection. His foster thinks he could enjoy children who want a playful companion, with gentle introductions and adult supervision. He hasn’t interacted with other dogs in his foster home, so those introductions and experiences are still ahead of him. Bring the toys, make room for snuggles, and take things step by step. This New Kid is ready to become a very familiar—and very loved—face in your home.
