Description
Meow meet Jay! Sometimes, life changes through no fault of our own, and even the most loving hearts have to make difficult decisions. Jay is a handsome, 20 pound adult black cat who came to the rescue when his beloved family experienced a serious health issue and his well being became a concern. He was deeply loved, and letting him go was one of the hardest decisions his family had to make. Their circumstances changed, but that doesn’t take away from the love he knew or the love he still has to give. Jay is a big boy with a personality full of simple pleasures. He loves being petted, watching birds through the window, finding a sunny spot to stretch out in, and getting excited over laser toys and catnip. At some point in time prior to coming to the rescue Jay was front declawed. He’s okay with other cats as long as they aren’t overly dominant, and he’d do best with older respectful children. The rescue environment has been stressful for Jay, and it’s understandable that he’s having a hard time adjusting to such a big change. He’s looking for that familiar feeling of home and love again - a place where he can relax, enjoy his favorite things, and feel comfortable being himself. Jay isn’t starting over because he wasn’t loved; he’s starting over because he was loved beyond measure and life took an unexpected turn. He still has so much good ahead of him. He deserves a home where his biggest decisions are which sunny spot to nap in and when to ask for more pets. Most of all, Jay deserves someone who will see the wonderful companion he is and give him the chance to be someone’s beloved boy again!
