Connor

Description

Hi!  My name is Conner and I am looking for a forever home.  Me and two of my friends showed up at a the home of some nice folks who tooks us in to keep us safe and they tried unsuccessfully to find our owners.  They then contacted a small local rescue as they didn't want to take us to the shelter 'cause they said we were so sweet (they actually ended up adopting one of us and said they would have kept all us but just couldn't afford 3 dogs).  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes!  The vet thinks I'm about 9 months old and currently weight a little under 19lbs so shouldn't get too much bigger.  The best guess as to my breed mix is some type of small doodle, maybe poodle mixed with some type of terrier?  Whatever I am, my foster mom says I'm super cute and that my coat is on the softer side and shouldn't need to much grooming other than some brushing and the occasional bath.  I'm still a little confused about all of the changes in my life and I am on the shyer side, but both my foster parents are being really nice to me and with they help of some yummy treats, I am starting to come out of my shell.  I have gotten along with the other small dogs I have met but haven't had a lot of contact with any cats.  I have done really well in my crate so far with no accidents, barking or tearing up of any of my beddin.  I probably never had on a leash before and they scare me, but with some practice and patience (treats help) I should be able to get it down.  In the meanwhile, I will need a fenced yard in order to take care of my business and explore.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
