SWEETPEA

Description

Sweetpea (A143848) is an 8-month-old female Chinchilla who weighed 1.13 pounds on intake! 10/20/26 These fun little critters are Sweetpea and Chilli! They came from the same home, but have always been housed separately. They were surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of their own but due to family home emergency which made it not safe for them to stay. They were described as great girls who are VERY fast! If you are unfamiliar with chinchillas and their care requirements, we encourage you to do the research before adopting. Providing them with a multilevel enclosure where they can explore is important. They should have unlimited access to hay as well as a measured amount of pellet food daily. It is also important that they be provided a dust bath for their coat health and their mental health! Chinchillas like chewing so providing them with appropriate chews is very appreciated. These girls were said to do well with people of all ages and also did well with the dogs in the home! If you are interested in meeting Sweetpea, please let us know!
