Verity

Description

Verity was shot with lead pellets and turned into SJACC. She sat there for a few days before we found out (through Rabbit Haven) that she needed help. She is a shy bird and distrustful of humans but settles nicely when held. She has gone through chelation treatments and her lead levels are going down. It’s not uncommon for birds with lead poisoning to always display some neurological symptoms but time will tell. She’s a great eater and has gained weight while in care! Lots of weight! She wasn’t thin when she came to us and is downright chonky now. She in a DNA tested hen. She deserves all the love someone is willing to give her. Please apply to adopt http://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/
