Benji III

Description

Benji is a toddler and honestly is barely out of puppy stage. He is still full of exuberance and energy, but fortunately came to us with some good foundational training. In is foster home he has done excellent with house training and he is easy to crate. Benji is very responsive to his humans and checks in regularly - a very helpful trait. He seems to know the "leave it" command pretty well, but to him "sit" means "lie down" which is actually kind of cute. Although he plays well with other dogs he still has a some learning to do regarding respectful behavior. But he's still just so young. He has the most gorgeous eyes and makes great eye contact. His coat is silky soft and his nose has the slightest little upturn at the end that gives him an elfish quality. Benji really would do best with a fenced yard because of his energy level and perhaps a wise and tolerant dog to teach him the ropes. Although if a family wanted to train him to go jogging that would be a great thing as well. He does sleep quietly in his crate in his foster mom's bedroom at night but would most likely make some noise when left alone. That would probably take some training as well and in his current foster home at least one family member is always home. Benji is like any puppy, a treasure to invest in but the payoff is a beautiful and rewarding relationship for the rest of his life. He’s a gorgeous, loving beagle boy and so worth it!
