ELLEN

Description

A5801782 Ellen is a beautiful, gentle girl with a soft cream coat and adorable pointy ears. At just 2 years old, this sweet Carolina Dog / German Shepherd mix has already been through a lot, but she hasn't lost her willingness to connect. Volunteers noticed how she leaned in for affection, even resting against their legs while they wrote notes about her. Ellen has a calm, curious nature and was wonderfully tolerant of other dogs during playgroup, preferring to explore peacefully rather than join in the roughhousing. She's a little underweight and has a facial scar, reminders that life hasn't always been easy for her. What Ellen needs now is a gentle hand, a little extra nourishment, and someone who will show her just how good life can be when you're loved.      -2-year-old Carolina Dog/German Shepherd mix with a cream coat -Spayed female weighing 67.4 pounds -Microchipped and ready to go home -Medium energy level -Easy to leash but needs some work on leash manners -Underweight; could benefit from gaining weight -Facial scar; mass removal noted in volunteer records -Tolerant and non-reactive with large dogs; calm dogs recommended -Small dogs need further assessment -Continued socialization recommended   ELLEN’S VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/V57ZPVAWoyw   For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit: Mary   Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
