Cayenne is an absolutely adorable girl with a sweet, quiet personality and a whole lot of love to give. She may take a little time to show you her true self, but once Cayenne decides she can trust you, you’ll have a best friend for life. Cayenne is a very easy girl in her foster home. She is crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and is almost fully potty trained. She loves being close to her people and is definitely a cuddle girl who would happily snuggle up beside you. Her favorite activities include sunbathing, exploring the backyard, and playing with toys. She is an expert at playing fetch, tug of war, receiving belly rubs, and giving kisses.  She is a true toy-enthusiast with a passion for de-stuffing. Cayenne enjoys going on walks but can get nervous when strangers are nearby, so a home with a fenced-in backyard to provide her with a haven to relax in would be ideal.Cayenne's biggest challenge is unfamiliar people. She is very slow to warm up to strangers and may bark or growl when someone new approaches. She is currently working on overcoming her fear of strangers, and she’ll need a family who understands that trust takes time. Once she knows you and feels safe, that nervousness gives way to the sweet, affectionate girl her foster family knows and loves.Because of this, Cayenne would do best in a quieter home without a lot of unfamiliar visitors coming and going. She would also prefer a home with no small children. She has shown that she thrives with routine and consistency. A family who is patient, understanding, and willing to let her build trust at her own pace would be ideal. She may enjoy having a friendly dog around to keep her company as well. In her foster home, Cayenne is fabulous—sweet, quiet, cuddly, and absolutely adorable. She just needs someone willing to see past her initial fear and give her the time and patience to discover that the world can be a safe place.
