Meet BROWNIE, a nearly perfect little dog! He's a 4 year old 20 lb. mixed breed boy and he's an absolute gem. Brownie is cheerful, sweet and playful, he loves everyone he meets, he's good with other dogs and cats, he loves toys, he's affectionate, we could go on and on. Oh and he's housebroken and crate trained. His only flaw is his teeth. At some point in his life Brownie suffered trauma to his mouth that went untreated. It resulted in his crazy underbite and he lost some of his teeth as well. Little Brownie is having dental surgery Tuesday to address any residual issues from the old trauma and then he'll be ready to start his new life. He'll still have that crazy underbite, but honestly, we think it's adorable. Rest assured Brownie has no issues when it comes to meal times, he gobbles his kibble with the best of them. We have no clue on breed mix. He's probably got some chihuahua in him, he looks like a deer head chihuahua. Our best guess is some mix of terrier breeds. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Brownie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
