Meet Lucy! ❤️ Lucy is an approximately 5-year-old Red Heeler mix weighing in at a petite 26 pounds. This sweet girl may be shy when meeting new people and pets, but with a little patience and time to feel safe, her loving personality starts to shine! She’s already making progress and is now playing with the dogs in her foster home. Lucy has some pretty special ways of showing affection — she gives the BEST kisses and loves to give hugs! She enjoys playtime, too, but she’ll do best with a family that understands her need for space and a gentle approach. Because Lucy can feel overwhelmed by too much excitement or attention in her face, a home without small children or overly rambunctious dogs would likely be the best fit for her. She needs respectful companions who will give her time to warm up and allow her to feel comfortable at her own pace. With patience, understanding, and lots of love, Lucy has so much affection to give.
