Meet Opie! Opie is a 12-week-old male kitten with a plush, solid blue-gray coat, enormous ears, and bright golden-green eyes. He's a velvet-colored little shadow with absolutely no concept of personal space — which is exactly how he likes it. If you've been looking for a cat who will narrate your entire day, chase a wand toy until he tips over, and then fall asleep on your chest mid-sentence, you've found him. Opie is a professional cuddler. His favorite place in the world is directly on your chest, chin tucked under yours, purring like a small motor. He seeks out laps, shoulders, and the warm spot right next to you on the couch. He isn't a "sit nearby" cat — he's an "on top of you" cat, and he fully commits. He also handles being picked up, held, and snuggled with zero complaints, which makes him a wonderful fit for anyone who wants a hands-on, affectionate companion. When he isn't snuggling, Opie is a playful goofball. Wand toys, crinkle balls, cardboard boxes, and your shoelaces are all equally thrilling to him. He does the classic kitten sideways-hop, sprints the length of the hallway for no particular reason, and plays hard right up until the moment he crashes. He's also wonderfully vocal and expressive — he chirps, trills, and chats throughout the day, greeting you at the door, commenting on breakfast, and announcing when it's time for cuddles. His face is every bit as expressive as his voice, so you always know exactly what he's thinking. Opie is great with other cats, too. He plays beautifully with his foster housemates and reads feline social cues well, so he'd be delighted to join a home with a resident cat — especially a playful friend close to his own energy level.
