Description
Meet Hamster! This 2-year old velvet bean came to us from local animal control after his owner could no longer care for him. We were told that Hammie was a French Bulldog, and when he jumps up in excitement with his nubbin tail, and his ears lift to be bat-like, we can (kind of) see it. But truth be told, he reminds us of a pug with those adorably round wide set eyes alien eyes. Oh, and also a hamster with his fuzzy stout body, stubby little bow-legged legs, and itty-bitty-ness! It doesn’t matter – he is 32 lbs of brindle perfection! This furry potato came from a loving home where he was super well-cared for. He was kept current on anything and everything under the sun for his two years on this planet, including nares surgery to help with his breathing. And now he needs to find his forever. Little Hamster is not-so-nocturnal, sleeping through the night. And really quiet, even when left alone, so not much of a squeak box. He is small but mighty with his larger-than-life playful personality and will scamper and play bow to engage with dogs and humans alike. He is an easy-going pint-sized pup who is easy to care for and easier to love and loves to be part of the action! He takes his responsibility as a potty escort seriously and will even pop in so say hello while his humans are showering (uh, awkward!). This miniature mammal is SO housetrained and won’t budge from the door if he has to go out. And that rich mahogany brindle coat is beyond gorgeous! This sweet guy has the most epic faux hawk along the back of his neck and would give David Beckham a run for his money without a drop of pomade. Hamster is just a mild-mannered, reallllly good dog, who is dog- and cat-friendly! Because of a lack of history, older or no kids would be best for this little furball. Hamster’s top 3 priorities: 1. A family who will be patient and allow Hamster some minimal time to truly decompress – something we ask for every dog. 2. A family who appreciates what a goooooooood dog Hamster is and is excited to add an adorable family member. 3. A family who is looking for a pup with a great temperament and a lot of love to give!
