Once he had time to understand them, he became quite interested in play. He will do best with a dog-savvy cat in a home that can manage his playful enthusiasm and ensure the cat has safe spaces to retreat and decompress.With dogs, River benefits from slow introductions, as high-energy, overly exuberant puppies can make him nervous at first. He would do best with a medium-energy dog who can be appropriately matched during introductions and then engage in play once River is comfortable.Based on his suspected breed, Catahoula-type dogs are known for their intelligence, independence, and need for both mental and physical stimulation.
