Description
Honey is one of those dogs whose gentle spirit leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Calm, sweet, and incredibly loving, Honey may be a little timid in new situations at first, but once she begins to trust you, she absolutely blossoms. As her confidence grows, Honey becomes the sweetest little shadow — quietly following her person around, asking for belly rubs, cuddles, and simply wanting to be near the people she loves. She has lovely manners in the home, is fully potty trained, walks beautifully on her harness, and enjoys peaceful strolls where she can stop and sniff the flowers along the way.Honey is wonderfully respectful when left home alone and does well either crated or free roaming. She gets along nicely with other dogs in social situations, though she would ultimately prefer being the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and soak up all the attention for herself. She also has a heart murmur, but it doesn’t slow her down from enjoying life and all the little comforts that come with it.Honey is looking for a calm, patient home that will continue helping her feel safe, cherished, and deeply loved. In return, she’ll offer quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and the kind of sweetness you can’t help but fall for. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
