Sassy is a beautiful 1 to 2-year-old girl weighing about 42 pounds who is ready to find the loving forever home she deserves. Despite a difficult start in life, Sassy has a gentle, loving heart and brings joy everywhere she goes. Ironically, her name doesn’t fit her at all! There isn’t anything “sassy” about this sweet girl. Sassy is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and kind-hearted. She’s the type of dog who would rather give you kisses, curl up in your lap, and soak up cuddles than cause any trouble.While she can be a little nervous when meeting new people, Sassy warms up quickly and soon reveals her loving personality. Once she trusts you, she’s happiest being close to her people and sharing all the affection she has to give. Sassy is good with other dogs. She’s playful with dogs who enjoy playing but is respectful of dogs who prefer their space. Sassy gets along with both small and large dogs. Sassy is crate trained and continues to work on her leash skills - she would do best with a fenced yard until she is better with walking. New environments can still make her a bit unsure, but she is making progress every day with patience, encouragement, and consistency. Because she can jump shorter fences, she will need a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot fence to keep her safe while she plays.One of her most endearing traits is the way she wiggles with excitement when you talk to her.
