DOB: 9/14/2023 Approx. Weight: 50 Lbs Adoption Fee: $250 includes 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Returned because owner was moving. Meet Doug “Or” — Your Future Best Friend! Returned through no fault of his own because his owner was moving. Doug “Or” deserves a forever home where he’ll be loved for the wonderful dog he is! Or came to Furry Kids’ from a small, rural Missouri shelter as a puppy in 2024. Just look at those adorable ears! One stands straight up like a shepherd, while the other is halfway up and folds over in the middle. Add his incredibly soft fur coat, sweet personality, and loving nature, and you’ve got one special boy! ❤️ Here’s what makes Or so amazing: A dog’s best friend! Or loves other dogs and has been playful with every dog he’s met. He doesn’t care about their size or sex — he just wants a friend to run with, chase around the yard, and play with! Great with cats! He’s actually a little intimidated by them and has no problem sharing his space. Sweet and gentle. Or is consistently even-tempered and friendly. He shows no aggressive or dominant behavior toward the dogs or cats he meets. His goal is simply to be everyone’s best friend! Housebroken and crate-trained. Or has great manners and will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play, stretch his legs, and take care of his business. A playful, happy boy! He absolutely loves running in the yard, especially when he has another dog to chase and play with. He even tries to convince one of my smaller foster dogs to join in, but she’s a grumpy little girl who wants nothing to do with his invitations. He’s happiest when he has a canine buddy who enjoys playing as much as he does! Honestly, Or is one of the easiest and most wonderful foster dogs I’ve had the pleasure of caring for. I can’t think of any bad habits worth mentioning. He’s affectionate, social, playful, and just an all-around good boy. Sadly, Or may be overlooked simply because he’s mostly black with a few small white markings. Black dogs are often passed over by adopters, and that breaks my heart. Please don’t let his coat color keep you from meeting this incredible boy. Look beyond the black fur and see the loving heart, gentle temperament, and loyal companion waiting to become part of your family. Or could be the very best Furry Kid you ever meet! He deserves a family who will love him forever and never give him up because life takes an unexpected turn. Could that family be yours? ❤️ Ready to meet or adopt Doug “Or”? Or has been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm-tested, and vaccinated. To apply, visit www.furrykidsrefuge.org and click the “Adopt A Dog” icon. A dedicated volunteer will be in touch. Please share Or’s story to help this sweet boy find the loving forever home he deserves! Every share could bring him one step closer to his family. ❤️
