Meet Melva (Mel)!Looking for a playful little sidekick who doubles as a professional snuggler?Mel is a 4-month-old, 12-pound bundle of sweetness, silliness, and puppy energy! We aren't exactly sure what breeds make up this adorable little girl, but we suspect she's some kind of terrier mix.Mel absolutely LOVES to play! She's a big fan of toys and seems to have been born knowing how to play fetch. Toss a toy her way, and she's ready for action! She's goofy, curious, and full of personality, with the kind of playful spirit that will keep you smiling. But don't let all that puppy energy fool you. When playtime is over, Mel is more than happy to settle in for some quality snuggle time with her favorite humans. She's just as sweet as she is silly!Mel is currently being fostered in a busy household with three other dogs and three children under the age of 12, and she's doing wonderfully with everyone! She enjoys having canine companions, but we think she'd be equally happy as an only dog with a family who gives her plenty of attention and playtime. Her compatibility with cats is unknown.And this little girl is already off to a great start! She's crate trained, doing wonderfully as she learns to walk on a leash, and we're actively working on potty training. She also proved herself to be an excellent traveler during her three-day journey from Texas to Michigan.Mel and her four siblings were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and given a second chance at finding loving forever homes.
