I'm currently on a sleepover and not at the shelter! If you'd like to see me, I'll be back on 10/18. Hello! My name is Acorn. I am a 2 year old, spayed, pit bull mix that currently weighs about 57 lbs. I am a sweet and affectionate gal that starts off shy at first, but once I get to know you, my friendly personality comes out. I'm quite the cuddle bug that will roll over to get good belly rubs! I will happily soak up all the attention you have to give and you'll see just how loving I can be. I am always happy to meet new friends but enjoy being around people more than I do with other canine buddies. My best doggy pals have been boy dogs around my size with chill vibes. If I sound like the girl for you, come on over and ask for me. Before going home, I would love to meet everyone in the household, including any resident dogs, so bring everyone when you come and meet me. ID# A0992540 I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: I had the pleasure of taking Acorn on the hike today. She is such a sweet and gentle girl. She was super easy to gear - literally sat there giving me kisses while we got ready to go. She wasn’t very sure of how to get in my car so I had to help her out by giving her a lift. Acorn was very calm in the backseat - even when we were next to a car with a dog that was barking at her. On the hike, she was a great walker. She is very easy to walk She enjoys taking her time to sniff and is curious about her surroundings. She was great with the other dogs and the walkers and bikes that passed. She also enjoyed the beach time, particularly the feeling of cool sand on her paws. Very sweet and gentle soul.
