Description
Starting October 6, all cats and kittens are FREE to adopt! Come find your new best friend today! Looking for the perfect window-watching companion? Mort is ready to claim the best seat in the house! Meet Mort! This distinguished 9-year-old black and white gentleman came to us as an owner surrender and has quickly won us over with his sweet, gentle personality. Mort has spent his entire life in one home, so adjusting to the busy shelter environment has been a big change for him. Because of that, he can be a little shy at first, but beneath that reserved exterior is a cat who absolutely loves affection.Mort enjoys being pet, cuddled, and spending quiet time with his favorite people. He's a calm, easygoing companion who would much rather relax by a sunny window than be in the middle of the action. We think his dream home would be one where he can settle in, soak up the views, and enjoy all the comforts of a peaceful life.Mort previously lived with small dogs and other cats and did well with both. We also think he would do great with respectful children who understand that sometimes a senior gentleman needs a little time to warm up. If you're looking for a loving, laid-back friend to share your home, your couch, and your favorite quiet moments, Mort may be the perfect match for you! Mort's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
