Description

This dog is on our Call to Action List following notes of sporadic, seemingly unprovoked bouts of aggression in a previous home. The family described her as often very friendly and sweet, but on multiple occasions would start barking, hard staring, showing teeth, lunging, and snapping without a discernible trigger. It is reported that these incidents occurred every 3-4 days. While none of these incidents broke skin, her behavior is still concerning and ultimately, the family did not feel safe having Molly in the home with children present.Molly has been evaluated at the shelter and while she did not display any of these behaviors and met both people and dogs successfully, we are continuing to observe her to gather more information. We will re-evaluate Molly and reassess her behavior to determine her placement options. While she is available for adoption to homes without children under 13, interested parties will need to speak to our Canine Care Coordinator for more in-depth counseling.
