Description
Daisy Loo, an adorable 11-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua may be a senior on paper, but in her heart she's still a playful youngster who loves toys, zoomies, and daily adventures! Quick Facts: Name: Daisy Loo Breed: Chihuahua Age: 11 years old Weight: 10 lbs. House-Trained: Almost there! Crate-Trained: Yes – but she does get sad when you have to leave Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested (but open to a meet and greet) Good with Kids: Best with older, respectful kids because of her size and age Energy Level: Medium Fence Required: No Dog's Location: Garner, NC About Daisy Loo’s Breed: Our best guess is that Daisy Loo is a Chihuahua mixed breed. Chihuahuas are tiny, expressive companion dogs known for their big personalities, deep loyalty, and strong attachment to their favorite humans. They often bond closely with one or two people, enjoying warmth, cuddles, and staying tucked right by their person’s side. While they can be a bit timid or cautious with new people or environments, they flourish with gentle handling, patience, and consistent reassurance. Their ideal home is one that offers calm routines, soft voices, and a slow, respectful pace. Chihuahuas thrive with families who understand small dog sensitivities, provide plenty of lap time, and keep them safe from rough play or large, overwhelming pets. They do especially well in quieter households, with adults or older children who know how to move gently around tiny dogs. What to Love about Daisy Loo: Daisy's idea of a perfect day starts with snuggling in bed with her person before moving to one of her favorite cozy spots, whether that's a dog bed, her crate, or a sunny patch of floor. She's a champion lap dog who loves affection, but she's also wonderfully independent and easygoing. One of Daisy's favorite things in the world is toys. In fact, she loves them so much that she'll often grab one and proudly carry it outside with her! When she's not showing off her toy collection, she's enjoying a walk. Daisy is excellent on a leash and loves exploring the world around her. She calmly ignores bikes, strollers, dogs, and other distractions, making her a delightful walking companion! Daisy has the perfect medium energy level. She's happy to join you for a daily walk and occasional zoomie session, but she's equally content relaxing at home afterward. Her foster family says she's the ideal mix of active and laid-back. This sweet girl loves everyone she meets and wins hearts wherever she goes. She has been doing wonderfully with the dogs in her foster home and would be happy as either an only dog or a member of a canine pack. She hasn't met cats yet but is open to a meet-and-greet. Daisy is working hard on her potty routine and is doing great. She's accustomed to being taken outside regularly throughout the day and continues to make progress as she settles into a consistent schedule. She's crate trained and enjoys eating her meals in her crate, though she'd much rather have the freedom to lounge around the house when her family is away. Thankfully, she has excellent house manners and can be trusted outside of a crate. One thing to know about Daisy: she's very food motivated and surprisingly quick for such a little lady! If food is left unattended, Daisy may decide you're willing to share. Don't worry though, her enthusiasm for snacks just adds to her charm. Because of her small size and senior status, Daisy would do best with older, respectful children who understand how to handle a tiny dog gently. Daisy Loo is looking for a family that will appreciate her sweet personality, playful spirit, and endless affection. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will brighten your days, join you on walks, and snuggle up beside you at night, Daisy may be the perfect little girl for you!
