Description

Penelope is a petite six-month-old girl with the tiniest meows, who’s looking for her next human to finish showing her why no longer living outside is going to be the start of her new best life. Her personality is still emerging but, for such a reserved little girl, her boldness is starting to become apparent and, I think she’s going to be the ruler of the house one day!Penelope has a medium energy level. She loves an hour-long play session with her siblings in the morning, but can also nap with the best of them. She currently lives with her 2 kitten siblings, 4 adult cats, 2 rabbits, 1 German shepherd, and two adults (one male, one female). Even though Penelope is still a bit unsure, I think she’d love an active home that will keep her entertained. We are working with her to get her comfortable with being held; her ideal home would be with a forever person or people who are ready to keep showing her that humans are a “good thing” in her life.If you don’t like cats on counters, Penelope is your girl, because she can’t jump. She was born with a skeletal deformity of her back legs and, as a result, can’t jump more than 12 inches. Because of this, Penelope needs easy access to a place to hide that doesn’t require her jumping up. In addition, she should definitely not have access to the outdoors unless it’s in a fully enclosed catio or cat condo. Other than that, she’s the most athletic of the kitten bunch and her agility when figuring out how to scale all objects in her way is so fun to watch. Her condition also means that she needs forever people who will find ways to help her get onto things by adding, say, a stool next to your bed for easy access. You also need to be very gentle when petting her, as her back leg irregularity causes her to stumble if you accidentally push down too hard near that area. Pet Haven requires that Penelope go home with/to another cat friend. If you don’t already have a friendly, gentle cat at home for her to play with, this cutie-pie would be thrilled to go home with either Ed, Gerald, or Gwendolyn. Penelope is a special lady with so much love to give to the right person!-------There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
