When found, he was emaciated and starving, with cuts on his body, hair loss likely caused by malnutrition, a chemical burn down his back, and heartbreakingly, a leather belt tied around his neck. We will never know what happened to Flounder, but we know he deserved so much better. Despite everything he has been through, Flounder’s heart is still full of love. His foster family describes him as one of the most loving and grateful dogs they have ever known. He is affectionate, happy, and playful, enjoying time with their dogs while discovering the comfort of a soft bed, a full belly, and a home where he is loved. In just a few short weeks, Flounder has gained weight and is learning that the world can be a kind place. He is still building confidence, and continued training will help him thrive. He needs a patient, compassionate family willing to give him the love, security, and consistency he deserves.
