JAKE

Description

Meet Jake- Jake is a handsome, though slightly rotund, orange male cat. Until recently, he was living with his owner and an adopted brother cat (Grady) until his owner unexpectedly passed away. We know that he was an indoor only cat and enjoyed the company of his brother but we are not requiring them to go to the same home. Some things we reccomend. A strict feeding plan. Jake should have regularly scheduled meals (no free feeding) due to his current body condition. Treats should be used minimally, for forming a relationship with your new pet.Patience while he acclimates to his new home. For the best transition, we highly recommend starting your new cat in one room of the home where they can learn about their new surroundings gradually. A small space such as a guest room or home office is the perfect place to start. After a few days, see if he wants to explore more, but close off extra rooms in the home to prevent him from getting overwhelmed.petting and brushing will start up his purr engine and make him feel more comfortable in his surroundings. Always end your interactions on a good note, so he will come back for more.Jake is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays.
