With the right home, and a great walking program, Dolly would be ok to a home without a fenced in yard. She enjoys a yard but what Dolly really wants is a person all her own. Want To Know More About Me? Text Dolly to 864-441-9075 for my full story - we'll share everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Dolly is a young doodle with amber-gold eyes, a joyful stride, and one clear ambition: to be wherever her person is. Freed from severe matting, this affectionate girl is beginning to blossom, enjoying dog friends and climbing into any welcoming lap. She needs gentle reassurance, help learning everyday manners, and someone who will nurture the beautiful flower she is becoming. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A person who wants a close companion and has time to help her blossom. Dolly needs plenty of togetherness, gentle encouragement, and patience as she learns house training, everyday manners, and that a leash can mean good things. Exercise: Moderate. Dolly has good energy and would enjoy daily walks but she is not a high energy, running through the house looking desperately for something to do kind of girl. She is medium. Best with: Someone who is looking for an interactive dog who wants to be part of everything. Not ideal for: Homes where there is a lot of energy and many comings and goings. Some dogs thrive on happy activity. We think Dolly would prefer a more mature energy level in her home. Energy level: On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give her a solid 5. Dolly is an affectionate young doodle with amber-gold eyes who loves dog friends but longs most of all for a person to call her own. Free of the severe matting she arrived with, she is ready to blossom with gentle guidance, regular grooming, and plenty of togetherness. Good with dogs: Yes, Dolly enjoys the company of other dogs large and small but she does not have to have a canine companion. She would be fine as an only dog. Good with kids: Unknown but as gentle as she is, as long as they understood her language (see fun fact), I think she could do well with gentle, respectful children. Cats: Unknown. We can test her if you have one. Fun fact: Dolly has her own language for inviting dog friends to play—a delightful little growl-groan that sounds like “grr grr… aww… aah… oooh.” If dogs had speech-to-text, we’re pretty sure that’s exactly how Siri would spell it! Also, Dolly likes bananas. Go figure.
